Dr Scott Borgna

Dr Scott Borgna is a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive care across the full scope of his speciality. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering reassuring, high-quality surgical outcomes. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of procedures, from routine corrective treatments to complex reconstructive surgeries. Dr Borgna is dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives personalised care tailored to their unique clinical needs.

Dr Borgna completed his undergraduate degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy at the University of Queensland, qualifying in Medicine in 2004. He was subsequently accepted onto the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial training programme, where he gained extensive knowledge in the management of diverse facial and oral conditions. In 2013, he undertook a clinical fellowship in head and neck cancer and microvascular reconstructive surgery in Liverpool, United Kingdom. In 2015, Dr Borgna was awarded his speciality fellowships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from both the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingdom (FRCS(OMFS)) and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS(OMS)). He is a member and former Chair of the Board of Studies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (RACDS), serves as the Director of Training for Queensland, and acts as a Final Examiner for the speciality training programme.

In his clinical practice, Dr Borgna maintains a strong interest in head and neck oncology, including oral cavity disease and skin cancer surgery, as well as complex reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. He is highly skilled in dental implantology and complex oral rehabilitation, helping patients restore both function and aesthetics. His expertise also extends to corrective jaw surgery, salivary gland surgery, and the management of maxillofacial trauma. Through his extensive training and leadership roles in specialist education, Dr Borgna remains at the forefront of advancements in his field, ensuring his patients benefit from modern, evidence-based surgical techniques.
