Dr Scott Armstrong is a highly qualified Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based in Ballina, Australia. He is a dual-registered Specialist holding full registration with both the Medical and Dental Boards of Australia. Dr Armstrong provides comprehensive care across the full scope of oral and facial surgery, with a particular sub-specialist interest in Facial Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr Armstrong began his academic journey at the University of Auckland, where he completed a Bachelor of Science. He then pursued his medical training at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2007. Committed to the dual-qualification pathway required for his specialty, he subsequently earned a Bachelor of Dental Science with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland in 2013. Following rigorous specialist training, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2019. He maintains active professional memberships and Specialist Registration in both Medicine and Dentistry.

Prior to his specialist training, Dr Armstrong gained broad clinical experience as a Junior Doctor, working across diverse surgical disciplines including Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Neurosurgery. After securing a place on the highly competitive training pathway, he completed advanced specialist surgical training in Queensland. He further refined his expertise by completing a post-graduate fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at a major tertiary hospital. Today, his clinical practice encompasses corrective jaw surgery, complex facial skin cancer reconstruction, and cosmetic facial procedures, alongside general oral surgery.
