Dr Sayeda Naher

Dr Sayeda Naher is a highly dedicated and compassionate Medical Oncologist and Staff Specialist who provides comprehensive cancer care in Wollongong, Australia. With a clinical approach centred on empathy and evidence-based medicine, she specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide range of adult malignancies. Dr Naher is deeply committed to delivering personalised treatment plans that address the unique physical and emotional needs of her patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care throughout their therapeutic journey.

Dr Naher obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. After relocating to Australia, she completed her advanced specialist training across several major metropolitan hospitals in Sydney. She was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and subsequently earned a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney, where she is also pursuing her PhD programme. Dr Naher maintains active professional memberships with leading global organisations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Naher is a passionate researcher and educator. Her primary clinical and research interests lie in breast cancer, genito-urinary cancers, and gastrointestinal malignancies, with a particular focus on stomach and oesophageal cancers. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and actively contributes to clinical trials aimed at improving patient outcomes and survival scenarios. As a Conjoint Lecturer, she is also deeply involved in training and mentoring the next generation of medical students and junior doctors.
