Dr Saroja Krishnaswamy is a highly accomplished and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care. With a career spanning clinical practice, academic leadership, and research, she is committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate support to her patients. Dr Krishnaswamy has held prestigious academic appointments, including serving as a Professor of Psychiatry, Deputy Dean, and Head of Psychiatry at prominent international universities, as well as holding Conjoint Academic roles at major Australian institutions. Her extensive background in both public and private psychiatric sectors across South Australia, New South Wales, and Victoria enables her to address complex mental health challenges with a reassuring and highly professional approach.

In her clinical practice, Dr Krishnaswamy focuses on general adult psychiatry, offering tailored assessment and treatment plans for a diverse range of mental health conditions. She has a particular interest in managing complex disorders such as psychosis, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and personality disorders. Additionally, she provides expert care for individuals experiencing trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as those facing challenges related to addictions. Dr Krishnaswamy obtained her primary medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), from the University of Malaya. Demonstrating her commitment to the highest standards of psychiatric practice, she was conferred as a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1995.
