Dr Saad Khan

Dr Saad Khan is a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist practising in Auchenflower, Queensland. He provides comprehensive and compassionate care for patients experiencing a wide range of digestive health and liver conditions. Dedicated to clinical excellence, Dr Khan combines his extensive medical knowledge with advanced endoscopic techniques to deliver precise diagnoses and tailored treatment plans, ensuring his patients feel supported and reassured throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr Khan graduated with his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2010, also earning a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours. He completed his basic physician training and subsequent advanced specialty training in gastroenterology and hepatology at major tertiary hospitals and a leading liver transplant unit in Victoria. To further refine his expertise, he undertook extensive fellowship training in interventional endoscopy across premier Australian institutions and completed an advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at a world-renowned medical centre in Toronto, Canada. Dr Khan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and maintains active memberships with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia, the Gastroenterology Society of Queensland, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

With a sub-specialty focus on advanced therapeutic endoscopy, Dr Khan is particularly skilled in performing complex, minimally invasive procedures. His clinical interests include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). He is also highly experienced in Zenker's diverticulum myotomy, the resection of large polyps, and the management of pre-malignant gastrointestinal neoplasia and early-stage cancers. Additionally, Dr Khan provides expert surveillance and treatment for Barrett's oesophagus, as well as supportive palliative care for patients with late-stage gastrointestinal cancers.
