After continuing to gain knowledge and expertise in various hospitals in the UK and Melbourne, Dr. Cruz later gained a place on the Victoria Fellowship program, during which he researched and gained insight into the impact of immunosuppression on the skin, at King's, Guy's, and St. Thomas Hospital, London. He has since been appointed Consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he now leads the multidisciplinary Bone Marrow Transplant - Dermatology Clinic.
Dr. Cruz is also an active member of the medical education community and regularly partakes in the training of junior doctors and medical students. Dr. Cruz is also the Founder of Southern Dermatology, which provides an excellent standard of care to their patients by prioritising compassion, communication, and sincerity for the best clinical outcomes.

My experience with Dr Ryan De Cruz has been the best experience I've had with a dermatologist. I came to Dr Ryan De Cruz with eczema affecting most of my face and affected my quality of life from sleepless nights to self confidence. I had seen another dermatologist prevously who was unable address my concerns and told me topical steroid creams were the only solution for me. When I came to Dr Ryan, he was compassionate, empathetic and understanding. He was able to explain the potential causes of my eczema in a simplistic way and came up with a plan to address it. It's clear to me that he cares deeply about his patient and goes above and beyond to get the best outcomes for them. I'm happy to say that after a few months, my eczema improved significantly along with my quality of life. Without a doubt Dr Ryan exceeds my expectation. Highly recommended.

Dr Ryan De Cruz is the best dermatologist! I don’t say it lightly, because I have seen many over the last 10 years. I had an ongoing skin condition that was ruining my life, from the time I went to see him and his team at Southern Dermatology I knew it would be different. He not only took a thorough history, he chased down previous results, and basically left no stone unturned to help find a solution…and he did! He has an excellent bed side manner and makes sure he explains everything thoroughly. His clinic nurses are fantastic, and it has been the best experience. Thank you Dr Ryan De Cruz and team.

Dr Ryan is very well informed on treating and managing psoriasis. He was able to begin my treatment on the same day as my initial consultation and I saw immediate improvement.
