Dr Ross Maxwell

Dr Ross Maxwell is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary healthcare to his patients. With a strong commitment to rural medicine, he delivers essential medical services as a General Practitioner, Anaesthetist, and Obstetrician. Dr Maxwell is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of his community, offering personalised care tailored to patients of all ages.

Dr Maxwell graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1982. He completed his initial clinical training at several major metropolitan hospitals before transitioning into dedicated rural General Practice. He holds professional fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Additionally, he obtained a Diploma of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Beyond his clinical duties, Dr Maxwell is a prominent advocate for rural healthcare and medical education. He has held numerous leadership roles within key medical organisations, including serving as the President of the Rural Doctors Association of Australia and the Chair of Rural Health Workforce Australia. He has also contributed his expertise to the state branch council of the Australian Medical Association and local General Practice divisions, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to improving healthcare delivery and training the next generation of medical professionals.
