Dr Roshan Shamon

Dr Roshan Shamon is a highly regarded Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Fertility Specialist who is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care. With a focus on empowering his patients through open communication and shared decision-making, he supports individuals and couples through every stage of their reproductive journeys. His clinical practice encompasses general and high-risk obstetrics, comprehensive fertility treatments, and advanced gynaecological care.

As a pioneer in his field, Dr Shamon was the first Australian Surgeon to undergo specialised training in next-generation transvaginal laparoscopy in France. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques, which offer patients reduced recovery times and improved outcomes. His surgical expertise extends to the management of complex conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and pelvic pain, as well as performing in-clinic colposcopies and contraception procedures.

Dr Shamon graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne in 1998. He subsequently completed his comprehensive specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at major tertiary hospitals, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 2009. He is also an active member of the Australian Gynaecological and Endoscopic Society (AGES). Alongside his clinical work, he is committed to medical education, regularly mentoring and training Junior Doctors and Medical Students.
