Dr. Robert Campbell

Dr. Robert Campbell is a highly regarded Consultant Neurosurgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care for both adult and paediatric patients. With a strong commitment to patient-centred management, he focuses on delivering tailored treatment plans that address complex neurological conditions. Dr. Campbell has been instrumental in introducing advanced navigation and robotic systems to the field of neurosurgery, ensuring that his patients benefit from the latest technological innovations and minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Campbell obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1985. He completed his specialist training in neurosurgery across Australia and New Zealand, earning a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. To further refine his expertise, he undertook an advanced subspecialty fellowship in the United Kingdom, focusing on paediatric neurosurgery, craniofacial surgery, and epilepsy surgery. Upon returning to Australia, he completed an additional senior fellowship in adult neurosurgery. He is also dedicated to training future medical professionals as a Senior Lecturer. Dr. Campbell is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, the Queensland Neurosurgical Society, the International Society of Paediatric Neurosurgeons, the Australian Medical Association, and the Australian New Zealand Society of Craniotomy Maxillo Facial Surgeons.

His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of neurosurgical interventions, with a particular interest in image-guided surgery for complex brain and pituitary tumours. Dr. Campbell is highly skilled in performing craniofacial operations, endoscopic surgical techniques for brain disease, and surgeries for epilepsy and pain management, including the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. Additionally, he provides expert care for spinal conditions, utilising keyhole spine surgery and addressing degenerative spine disorders, cranial trauma, and peripheral nerve decompression.
