Dr Richard Blaze

Dr Richard Blaze is a highly regarded Consultant Neurologist based in Surrey Hills, Victoria, who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. He specialises in general neurological diagnostics and treatment, helping patients navigate complex conditions affecting the brain and nervous system. With a compassionate and meticulous approach, Dr Blaze focuses on improving his patients' quality of life through individualised treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.

In addition to general neurology, Dr Blaze has a major sub-speciality interest in movement disorders, particularly Parkinson's disease, tremor disorders, and dystonia. He is highly skilled in advanced neuromodulation therapies, including deep brain stimulation, as well as device-assisted and infusion therapies for Parkinson's disease. Dr Blaze also utilises botulinum toxin treatments to manage conditions such as dystonia, facial spasms, and chronic migraine, ensuring patients have access to innovative and effective therapeutic options.

Dr Blaze completed his medical education at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours in 2006.
