Dr. Melissa Tang

Dr. Melissa Tang is a Consultant Neurologist with subspecialty expertise in movement disorders and migraine. Her clinical focus includes the diagnosis and management of Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, tremor, dystonia, tic disorders, and related neurological conditions. She also provides care for patients with chronic and complex migraine.

Dr. Tang consults with Neurology Network Melbourne and manages movement disorder patients in both public and private settings, including her role at The Alfred. She has completed advanced subspecialty training in movement disorders and holds a PhD in this field. Her expertise includes the use of advanced therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), infusion pump therapies, and MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound, offering patients access to the latest treatment options for complex neurological conditions.

She earned her MBBS from the University of Melbourne in 2006 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Dr. Tang has also held registrar positions at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Eastern Health, contributing to her broad clinical experience.
