Dr Richa Sharma is an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care to patients across all age groups. To further her expertise, she undertook a Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship at a leading children's hospital in Brisbane, followed by a General Ophthalmology and Medical Retina Fellowship at a prominent eye institute and tertiary hospital. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) in 2018. Throughout her career, Dr Sharma has worked across multiple public and private healthcare facilities in Queensland, gaining extensive experience in managing complex visual disorders. Her clinical interests encompass cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, glaucoma management, and medical retina conditions, including macular degeneration and retinal vascular diseases. Alongside her clinical practice, she is deeply passionate about medical education, actively training Ophthalmology Registrars and Medical Students, and regularly presenting her clinical research at national and international conferences.
