Dr Rebekah Hoffman

Dr Rebekah Hoffman is a highly accomplished Specialist General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, relationship-based, and community-focused healthcare. She believes that the best general practice is both clinically rigorous and deeply human, placing a strong emphasis on preventative medicine, continuity of care, and shared decision-making. Her reassuring and patient-centred approach ensures that individuals and families receive compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs.

With a broad clinical scope, Dr Hoffman enjoys the diverse nature of family medicine. Her areas of clinical interest and expertise span several key fields, including women's health, antenatal and pregnancy care, and children's health. She is highly skilled in performing minor procedures, such as the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices like Mirena and Implanon, as well as skin cancer management and minor surgical interventions. Additionally, she has a strong interest in sports medicine, helping patients manage active lifestyles and musculoskeletal concerns.

Dr Hoffman's extensive academic background reflects a deep commitment to lifelong learning. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Wollongong, where she later obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on the intersection of medicine and parenting. Her additional qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, a Master of Public Health, a Master of Surgery, a Master of Sports Medicine, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Anatomy by Dissection, and a Diploma in Child Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (AFRACMA). She is also a Graduate of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and the Australian Institute of Clinical Governance (AICGG).

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr Hoffman is a passionate medical educator, researcher, and healthcare advocate. She serves as a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at the University of Wollongong, where she mentors and trains the next generation of medical students. Her leadership and governance roles include serving as the Chair of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory Faculty.
