Dr Thakur completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1998. Following his graduation, he gained extensive clinical experience working across various hospitals in Queensland, as well as spending time working at a prominent teaching hospital in London. Additionally, he has worked within the field of occupational health, further broadening his clinical expertise and understanding of diverse patient requirements.

While Dr Thakur enjoys all aspects of General Practice, he has developed particular clinical interests in several key areas. He is highly experienced in children's health, men's health, and travel medicine. His practice also encompasses a range of clinical procedures and services, including electrocardiography (ECG), family planning and contraception, cervical screening, and the surgical treatment of skin cancer.
