Dr Preeti Joshi

Dr Preeti Joshi is a highly qualified Consultant Paediatrician specialising in paediatric allergy and immunology. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for infants, children, and adolescents experiencing a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, Dr Joshi works closely with families to diagnose, manage, and treat complex conditions, ensuring that young patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their medical journey.

Dr Joshi graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1990, subsequently completing her specialist training in paediatrics and obtaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1997. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health and completed a Doctor of Philosophy focusing on the development of allergy in children. To further her expertise, she undertook advanced training in New York alongside world-leading experts in food allergy. Dr Joshi is highly active in professional leadership, serving as the Chair of the paediatric committee of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, the lead of a national food allergy prevention programme, and the head of the medical advisory board for Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia. She also holds an appointment as a Staff Specialist in allergy and immunology at a major tertiary children's hospital.

In her clinical practice, Dr Joshi focuses on the precise diagnosis and long-term management of paediatric food allergies, eczema, and allergic rhinitis. She is highly experienced in managing children at risk of anaphylaxis, as well as those suffering from asthma, primary immunodeficiencies, and environmental allergies such as dust mite and pollen sensitivities. Dr Joshi utilises advanced diagnostic tools, including skin prick testing and supervised food challenges, and offers specialised treatments such as immunotherapy to help children build tolerance and improve their quality of life. Her commitment to clinical research and medical education ensures that her patients receive evidence-based, state-of-the-art care.
