Dr Piers Blombery

Dr Piers Blombery is a highly accomplished Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist who specialises in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of blood cancers and complex haematological disorders. With a strong focus on molecular and genetic haematology, he is dedicated to utilising cutting-edge genomic testing to provide personalised care for his patients. Dr Blombery works closely with individuals facing haematological malignancies, such as leukaemia and lymphoma, to identify the precise genetic drivers of their conditions and tailor highly targeted treatment strategies.

Dr Blombery completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine and went on to earn his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2003. He subsequently completed a Doctor of Philosophy at the same institution. Dr Blombery undertook dual fellowship training in clinical and laboratory haematology, later travelling to the United Kingdom to complete advanced training and work as a Consultant Haematologist. He holds professional fellowships with both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).
