Dr Ashish Panigrahi

Dr Ashish Panigrahi is a Consultant Haematologist with interests in both malignant and non-malignant haematology. His special interests include multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in older patients. His clinical interests also include anaemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, anticoagulation management, haemochromatosis, iron deficiency, leukaemia and the management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

Dr Panigrahi trained in haematology at Western Health, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He has also served in regional Victoria as a Haematology Fellow at Bendigo Hospital. During his time at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, he was involved as a sub-investigator in clinical trials.

His research interests include myeloproliferative neoplasms in younger patients. Dr Panigrahi endeavours to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care and strongly advocates good communication with patients and carers.
