Dr Philip Bruder

Dr Philip Bruder is a highly accomplished Dermatologist who specialises in the evaluation and non-surgical treatment of hair loss, alongside general dermatological care. With a patient-centred approach, he provides compassionate and individualised care to address both common and complex conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. Dr Bruder is dedicated to helping patients navigate the often deeply personal and emotional challenges associated with hair and scalp disorders, ensuring they receive tailored treatment plans designed to achieve long-lasting results.

Dr Bruder earned his Doctor of Medicine from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine in 1987. He subsequently completed his dermatology residency training through Columbia University, where he was honoured with the role of Chief Resident during his final year. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and holds prestigious professional memberships, including being a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, which he obtained in 2023.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Bruder has developed a particular expertise in managing genetic hair loss in both men and women, also known as androgenetic alopecia, as well as alopecia areata and cicatricial alopecias. His clinical interests also extend to general dermatology, encompassing the management of psoriasis, eczema, acne, and the dermatological manifestations of internal diseases. To support his patients, he utilises advanced, scientifically driven therapies, including non-surgical hair restoration techniques and Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) treatments.
