Dr Paulus Neeskens

Dr Paulus Neeskens is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care in Urraween, Australia. With a deep commitment to the philosophy of "cradle to the grave" medicine, he supports patients and their families through all stages of life. Dr Neeskens specialises in family general practice, with particular clinical interests in palliative care, aged care, and skin procedures. He is strongly committed to evidence-based medicine, ensuring that his patients receive treatments that are backed by robust clinical research.

Dr Neeskens obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and later advanced his academic qualifications by earning a Master of Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Queensland in 2014. To further his expertise in end-of-life care, he completed a specialised residential course in palliative care in 1994. He is registered as a Specialist General Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has served as a Board Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Queensland Faculty.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Neeskens is passionate about medical education and leadership. He has served as a Senior Lecturer in General Practice at the University of Queensland, where he teaches medical students and supervises regional General Practitioner registrars on their training pathways. His leadership extends to various regional primary healthcare organisations, where he has held roles as a Board Member and Chairperson, contributing significantly to the development of local healthcare services.
