Dr Paul Hammans

Dr Paul Hammans is a highly qualified Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care for conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and teeth. With dual qualifications as a Medical Practitioner and a Dentist, Dr Hammans brings a wealth of knowledge and a reassuring, patient-centred approach to his clinical practice. He is dedicated to delivering precise surgical outcomes while ensuring that his patients feel fully informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Dr Hammans completed his medical degree at the University of Bonn in 1983, followed by a PhD in Medicine in 1984. He subsequently pursued dental training, graduating from the Dental School at the same institution in 1989 and obtaining his PhD in Dentistry in 2000. He completed his advanced speciality training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1993, at which point he was awarded a Fellowship of the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. After successfully completing the Australian Dental Council examinations, he relocated to Australia, where he continues to maintain active professional memberships and contribute to the field as a Clinical Lecturer and Surgical Mentor.

In his clinical practice, Dr Hammans focuses on advanced dental implantology, complex bone augmentation procedures, and corrective jaw surgery. He is also highly skilled in routine oral surgery, including the removal of impacted wisdom teeth and other minor oral procedures. Dr Hammans combines his technical expertise with a commitment to education, having lectured extensively on dental implantology and served as a Surgical Mentor for postgraduate dental programmes. His multidisciplinary background allows him to address complex reconstructive and aesthetic concerns with the highest standard of care.
