Dr Patrick Martin Garratt is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Throughout his career, Dr Martin Garratt has gained extensive experience across a diverse range of medical environments. Before transitioning into General Practice, he worked as a Junior Doctor at a major tertiary hospital in Western Australia and spent several years in the emergency department of a leading paediatric hospital. His professional journey also includes serving as an Expedition Doctor on trekking ventures in Nepal and Europe, as well as tutoring Medical Students and training Postgraduate Registrars at a prominent Western Australian university. This broad clinical background has equipped him with a versatile skill set to manage complex medical cases.

Dr Martin Garratt completed his medical training at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Following his graduation, he pursued further postgraduate studies, obtaining a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a Diploma in Child Health. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom. Committed to medical education, he also completed a postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals at the University of Bristol. Additionally, he has undertaken advanced training in skin cancer medicine through the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

In his daily practice, Dr Martin Garratt maintains a strong clinical interest in metabolic health, particularly the latest research surrounding the management of diabetes, obesity, and visceral fat loss through nutritional interventions. His other key areas of focus include paediatric medicine, travel and expedition medicine, chronic disease management, and preventative healthcare. He is also highly skilled in skin cancer medicine, performing comprehensive skin checks and dermoscopy to support the early detection and management of skin conditions.
