Dr Niyati Sharma

Dr Niyati Sharma is a consultant dermatologist based at Box Hill Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre. She is also the founder of Inside Out Dermatology, the first plant-based dermatology medical clinic in Australia, which takes a holistic approach to skin care and treatment.

Dr Sharma has special interests in the following areas:

• Skin cancer (including melanoma)
• Paediatric skin conditions
• Hair
• Nails
• General dermatology
• Surgical dermatology

She gained her medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 2006 before undertaking an internship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She then worked in various places across Australia before deciding to specialise in dermatology.

During her 4 years of post-graduate training, Dr Sharma spent a year in Singapore at the National Skin Centre, where she gained particular expertise in the treatment of Asian skin. Following this, she earned her Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) before completing a sub-speciality fellowship in paediatric dermatology at the renowned Ann and Robert Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago.

She also holds a Master's of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University (USA), where her studies focused on nutrition, policy, and advocacy.
