Dr Nelson Gonzalez

Dr Nelson Gonzalez is a highly dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of women. As a Specialist, he is committed to delivering a compassionate and reassuring experience, ensuring that patients feel supported throughout every stage of their health journey. Whether managing complex pregnancies or addressing intricate gynaecological concerns, Dr Gonzalez focuses on personalised treatment plans that prioritise patient comfort, safety, and long-term well-being.

In his role as an Obstetrician, he provides complete care for both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, including the management of first-trimester complications, antenatal shared-care, and postnatal support. As a Gynaecologist, his clinical expertise encompasses the management of severe endometriosis, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, and chronic pelvic pain. He has a strong focus on advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, and also offers specialised services in family planning, abnormal cervical screening management, and initial infertility investigations.

Dr Gonzalez completed his foundational studies with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biotechnology with Honours, before earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2005. He subsequently undertook extensive specialist training in women's health, culminating in being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 2014. He maintains active professional memberships and regularly participates in continuing professional development to ensure his clinical practices align with the latest medical advancements.
