Dr Navid Adib

Dr Navid Adib is a highly regarded Paediatrician and Paediatric Rheumatologist who specialises in diagnosing and treating children and young adults with chronic musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions. Based in Queensland, he is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and reassuring care to young patients and their families. Dr Adib is passionate about improving the quality of life for children experiencing complex joint and tissue disorders, ensuring they receive the support needed to remain active and independent.

Dr Adib completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, qualifying in 1992. He undertook his general paediatric training at a major children's hospital in Brisbane before pursuing advanced sub-specialist training in paediatric rheumatology at a world-renowned children's hospital in London. He furthered his academic and clinical expertise in the United Kingdom, completing a clinical fellowship and earning a PhD in the outcomes of juvenile idiopathic arthritis from the University of Manchester. Dr Adib is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and an active member of the Australian Rheumatology Association.

With a strong commitment to patient-centred care, Dr Adib focuses on managing a wide range of autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, including juvenile arthritis, lupus, and juvenile dermatomyositis. He works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, and Psychologists, to deliver holistic treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Recognising the challenges faced by families in regional areas, he regularly travels to conduct outreach clinics across Queensland, ensuring that specialised paediatric rheumatology care is accessible to communities outside metropolitan centres.
