Dr Moe Thuzar

Dr Moe Thuzar is a highly accomplished and dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. With a reassuring and evidence-based approach, she specialises in diagnosing and managing complex hormonal conditions, helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being. Dr Thuzar completed her medical degree (MBBS) and went on to pursue extensive postgraduate training. She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2014 and is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (FRCP UK). Committed to advancing medical knowledge, she completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Queensland in 2018, focusing on the regulation of human energy metabolism and the adrenal neuroendocrine system. She maintains active professional memberships and contributes significantly to clinical research as a Senior Research Fellow.

Throughout her career, Dr Thuzar has developed a deep expertise in adrenal endocrinology, endocrine hypertension, and primary aldosteronism. Her clinical interests also encompass diabetes management, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, pituitary diseases, obesity, and osteoporosis. Her research into the mineralocorticoid system and cardiovascular endocrinology has been widely recognised, informing several national and international clinical practice guidelines.
