I cannot stress enough how utterly unprofessional and inconsiderate to anybody but herself. Dr Lorraine Pereira is. Avoid her at all costs. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had with a doctor. I booked an appointment two months in advance at Ryde Endocrinology and even changed it to 9:30 am because I had a funeral at 11:00 am. I arrived early, completed the forms, and waited… and waited. By 10:15 am there was still no doctor. The receptionist called Dr Pereira to let her know 9:30am, 10am & etc. patients are waiting for her. Dr Pereira response was she’s not feeling well today & won’t be coming into the clinic. Only when the receptionist called her did we find out Dr Pereira had simply decided she “wasn’t feeling well” and wasn’t coming in that day. No call to the clinic. No notice to patients. Nothing. Any competent, considerate professional would have informed the clinic early so patients didn’t waste their time. Instead, she left multiple people sitting there waiting for a doctor who had no intention of showing up. This is beyond incompetent. Any decent professional would have informed the clinic first thing in the morning so patients could be notified and reschedule. Instead, Dr Pereira wasted my time, made me late to a funeral, and demonstrated a staggering lack of basic decency or responsibility. Her actions were not just unprofessional, they were cruel, selfish, and deeply upsetting. Completely unacceptable, deeply disrespectful. I strongly advise avoiding this doctor. Read moreThe staff at Ryde Endocrinology are really pleasant to deal with and helpful. The practice is always clean and I love the relaxing music in the waiting room. It is a lovely space.
Ken Ho was very professional and attentative. His staff were also very helpful and prompt.
