Dr Michela Sorensen

Dr Michela Sorensen is a General Practitioner practising at Walker Street Doctors in North Sydney, New South Wales. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle in 2011 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. She also holds a Diploma of Paediatrics and Family Medicine awarded through the University of Sydney and Sydney Children's Hospital.

Dr Sorensen has clinical experience across both metropolitan and remote healthcare settings, including positions at Royal North Shore Hospital and volunteer medical work in Uganda. She provides comprehensive general practice care and has particular interests in preventative healthcare, children's health, developmental assessments, women's health, antenatal care, mental health, and chronic disease management.

Her areas of practice also include family medicine, men's health, health promotion, and the assessment and management of a broad range of acute and long-term medical conditions. She has experience supporting children and families through developmental and health assessments and provides antenatal shared care as part of her women's health practice.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Sorensen contributes to public health education through media commentary on healthcare-related topics.
