Dr Michael Lonergan

Dr Michael Lonergan is a dedicated and highly qualified General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he manages a broad spectrum of general paediatric conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr Lonergan is committed to supporting the health, growth and development of young patients, accepting referrals for a wide range of medical concerns from infancy through to the teenage years.

In addition to general paediatric medicine, Dr Lonergan possesses specialised expertise in neonatal care, supporting newborns and their families during the critical early stages of life. He also completed an additional year of advanced training in paediatric haematology and oncology, which remains a key area of clinical interest and expertise. His diverse clinical background enables him to deliver thorough, evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of each child.

Dr Lonergan completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Newcastle, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1996. He subsequently undertook extensive postgraduate training, culminating in the award of his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2005. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, he maintains a strong commitment to professional excellence and ongoing education in the field of paediatric medicine.
