Dr Megan Barrett

Dr Megan Barrett is a warm, reassuring, and highly experienced General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients and their families. With a clinical approach rooted in kindness and compassion, Dr Barrett prioritises establishing strong trust and rapport with those under her care. She treats her patients holistically, utilising an evidence-based approach that carefully considers each family's unique circumstances. Dr Barrett strongly believes in a collaborative model of healthcare, ensuring that patients and families fully understand the reasoning behind every diagnosis and treatment plan.

Before embarking on her medical career, Dr Barrett obtained a Diploma of Science and Naturopathy. She then went on to study medicine at the University of Western Australia, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Following her medical degree, she completed her postgraduate training and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in Victoria. She remains an active member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), ensuring her practice aligns with the highest standards of primary care.

Throughout her career, Dr Barrett has gained diverse clinical experience across various healthcare settings. Her professional background includes working in private General Practice, hospital General Practice, and several community-controlled Aboriginal health clinics. In addition to her primary care work, she holds a part-time appointment at a public refugee health clinic, where she provides specialised care to vulnerable populations. Dr Barrett has a particular interest in family medicine, paediatric health, and holistic patient care, helping children and families achieve their optimal health and wellbeing.
