Dr Matthew Allan

Dr Matthew Allan is a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiologist who specialises in general cardiology and complex coronary artery intervention. As a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist, he is committed to providing comprehensive, reassuring, and evidence-based cardiac care. He works closely with his patients to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr Allan completed his medical training at the University of New South Wales, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He then undertook extensive specialist training in cardiology across several major teaching hospitals. In 2015, he completed his specialist training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. To further refine his expertise, he completed two prestigious post-graduate fellowships in interventional cardiology, including one in the United Kingdom.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Allan is passionate about medical education and research. He serves as a University Lecturer, teaching and mentoring the next generation of medical students and Trainee Physicians. He regularly presents at international medical conferences and maintains an active interest in the latest research and technological advancements in cardiology. Outside of his professional life, Dr Allan enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through running and swimming, and cherishes spending time with his young family.
