Dr Sharon Wilson

Dr Sharon Wilson is an experienced cardiologist and multimodality imaging specialist with expertise in maternity cardiology, inherited cardiac conditions, and advanced cardiac imaging. Originally from Canberra, she completed an honours degree in Genetics before graduating in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2006.

Dr Wilson undertook her cardiology training through the Eastern Network in Sydney before moving to the UK for an advanced imaging fellowship at Addenbrooke's Hospital. She remained in Cambridge for more than five years, gaining extensive experience in specialised areas of cardiology that are less commonly encountered in Australia. During this time, she developed significant expertise in the management of complex cardiovascular conditions, particularly in pregnancy-related heart disease and inherited cardiac disorders affecting both patients and their families.

Her clinical interests include maternity cardiology, multimodality cardiac imaging, inherited heart conditions, and the management of complex cardiac patients. Dr Wilson is recognised for her comprehensive and patient-focused approach, combining advanced diagnostic imaging with personalised cardiovascular care.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Wilson has a strong commitment to medical education and physician training. She remains actively involved in supervising both basic and advanced cardiology trainees in Australia and the UK, contributing to the ongoing development of future cardiologists and imaging specialists.
