Dr Mathuraa Theivendran

Dr Mathuraa Theivendran is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong commitment to the biopsychosocial model of medicine, she focuses on understanding the physical, psychological, and social factors that influence a patient's overall well-being. Dr Theivendran enjoys the full depth and breadth of family medicine, offering a kind, communicative, and reassuring approach to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Throughout her career, Dr Theivendran has developed diverse clinical interests, with a particular focus on family health. She is highly skilled in paediatric care, particularly in addressing behavioural and developmental issues in children. Her expertise also extends to women's health, where she assists patients with fertility concerns, general gynaecological health, menopause management, and post-natal depression. Additionally, she provides comprehensive mental health support across all age groups, with a dedicated focus on primary school children, teenagers, and young adults. Dr Theivendran completed her medical degree at Monash Medical School, qualifying in 2006. Following her graduation, she undertook extensive postgraduate training in general medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and gynaecology. She further advanced her clinical skills by completing specialised training in paediatrics and neonatal intensive care. Dr Theivendran is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence in general practice.
