Dr Mary McDevitt

Dr Mary McDevitt is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a diverse background in healthcare, she initially began her career as a Registered Nurse, gaining valuable clinical experience in both public and private settings across New Zealand and the United Kingdom. This foundational nursing experience instilled in her a deeply compassionate and holistic approach to patient care, which she continues to bring to her medical practice today.

After transitioning into medicine, Dr McDevitt worked extensively across a variety of clinical environments. Her career has spanned roles as an Emergency Registrar and as a General Practitioner serving diverse populations, including rural and regional communities throughout Australia. Her work with regional communities and Indigenous health services has given her a broad perspective on family medicine and preventative care. She is committed to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Dr McDevitt commenced her medical studies at the University of Auckland before completing her training at the University of Otago, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1996. Prior to her medical degree, she obtained a Diploma in General and Comprehensive Nursing. Demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence and ongoing education, she is an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
