Dr Mark Ward

A/Prof Mark Ward is an Australian-based Gastroenterologist.

A/Prof Ward completed their medical degree at Monash University, graduating in 2004. Following this, they undertook physician and gastroenterology training at The Alfred Hospital and Eastern Health. To further their expertise, A/Prof Ward pursued an advanced clinical fellowship in London, where they gained specialisation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bowel cancer screening. Their dedication to improving patient outcomes in IBD led them to be awarded a Doctor of Medicine in 2017 from Monash University, recognising their novel research in the field.

A/Prof Ward's commitment to Gastroenterology extends beyond IBD. They are also highly experienced in bowel cancer screening, coeliac disease, and liver disorders.
