Dr Mark Perrin

Dr Mark Perrin is a highly qualified Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist based in Geelong, Australia. He specialises in the management of heart rhythm disorders, with a particular focus on treating atrial fibrillation and genetic arrhythmia disorders. Dedicated to providing patient-centred care, Dr Perrin works closely with individuals to diagnose and manage complex cardiac conditions, ensuring they receive personalised and reassuring support throughout their treatment journey.

As a Heart Rhythm Specialist, Dr Perrin possesses extensive expertise in both non-invasive management and advanced procedural interventions. He performs catheter ablation for a range of arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia. Additionally, he is highly skilled in implanting and managing cardiac devices, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices, as well as performing conduction system pacing. His clinical interests also extend to genetic arrhythmia syndromes, including Long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.

Dr Perrin completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, alongside a Bachelor of Science, at the University of New South Wales. He undertook his specialist Cardiology training in Sydney before completing a PhD focusing on drug-induced arrhythmia at a leading cardiac research institute. To further refine his expertise, he pursued postdoctoral research and a clinical arrhythmia fellowship in Ottawa, Canada. Dr Perrin is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and holds professional memberships with the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Heart Rhythm Society.
