Dr Mark Elvy

Dr Mark Elvy is a highly regarded General Practitioner and Phlebologist who provides comprehensive medical care with a focus on venous disorders and specialised minor procedures. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred care, he combines his broad expertise in general medicine with advanced clinical skills to address a wide range of health concerns. Dr Elvy graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1980, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. To further his expertise in diagnostic imaging, he completed a Graduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound at the University of Sydney. He is a Foundation Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology and contributes to the education of future medical professionals as a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales Rural Clinical School.

In his clinical practice, Dr Elvy has a particular interest in the management of venous conditions, including varicose veins and spider veins, as well as various forms of oedema, such as lymphoedema, lipoedema, and idiopathic oedema. He is highly skilled in performing advanced, minimally invasive procedures, including endovenous laser therapy, sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy. Additionally, he offers specialised family planning services, utilising modern, no-scalpel, open-ended vasectomy techniques to provide safe and effective permanent contraception.
