Dr Marjorie Cross

Dr Marjorie Cross is a highly respected and dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families, she focuses on delivering reassuring and thorough medical guidance. Dr Cross is particularly passionate about managing complex and chronic health conditions, ensuring that each patient receives a personalised treatment plan tailored to their unique needs. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr Cross has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She holds a strong focus on women's health, family medicine, and the management of chronic illnesses. Additionally, she is deeply committed to addressing family violence, actively participating in specialised advocacy groups and presenting at international workshops on the subject. Dr Cross also maintains a keen interest in planetary health and the environment, recognising the profound connection between ecological well-being and human health.

Dr Cross completed her medical degree at Monash University. Following her graduation, she obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, further enhancing her expertise in women's healthcare. She successfully completed her specialist exams in General Practice in 1990. Dr Cross is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and serves as a Senior Medical Educator with the college. She is also a Rural Clinical Teacher with the Australian National University and a Supervisor with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). In recognition of her outstanding service to medicine and medical education, particularly to General Practitioners in rural Australia, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2018.
