Dr Maitreyi Bela Modak

Dr Maitreyi Bela Modak is a compassionate and highly skilled Consultant Paediatrician who is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she works closely with families to support their children's health, growth, and development. Dr Modak is committed to delivering personalised care that addresses both the physical and emotional well-being of her young patients, helping them thrive from infancy through to their teenage years.

In her clinical practice, Dr Modak manages a diverse range of paediatric presentations. She has a keen interest in supporting families with unsettled babies, monitoring newborn growth and variation, and addressing developmental concerns. Her expertise also extends to child and adolescent mental health, as well as the management of chronic and acute conditions. These include infant feeding difficulties, asthma, allergies, continence issues, airway disorders, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Dr Modak completed her medical training at the University of Melbourne, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) in 2009. Furthering her commitment to medical education and professional development, she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching (GCCT) from the University of Melbourne in 2017. She is a recognised Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), ensuring her practice aligns with the highest standards of paediatric care.
