Dr Mahomed Khatree

Dr Mahomed Khatree is a highly accomplished and compassionate Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Fertility Specialist. Dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care, he supports individuals and couples through every stage of their reproductive journeys. Dr Khatree is widely recognised for his calm, respectful approach and clear communication, ensuring that patients feel fully informed and supported whether they are navigating fertility challenges, preparing for childbirth, or managing complex gynaecological conditions.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Khatree offers expert care in general Gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and fertility management, including In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). His clinical interests encompass the management of early pregnancy complications, menstrual abnormalities, and pelvic surgery, as well as providing contraception and sterilisation services. Additionally, he performs specialised procedures such as colposcopy, urogynaecology treatments, the insertion of contraceptive devices, and newborn male circumcisions. Dr Khatree completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Natal, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He subsequently undertook extensive specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completing residencies at major teaching hospitals in Durban and London. In 1980, he qualified as a Specialist, obtaining formal credentials from both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London and the College of Medicine of South Africa. Dr Khatree holds prestigious professional memberships, including being a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and a Fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa.
