Dr Lucy Matthews

Dr Lucy Matthers is a Consultant Ear Nose & Throat, and Head & Neck Surgeon based at the Melbourne ENT Group, Richmond. Dr Matthews has a keen interest in the treatment of sinus conditons, nasal obstruction, snoring, sleep apnoea, thyroid and parathyroid disorders and salivary gland diseases. She centres her practice around induvidualised patient care, good communication and prioritsing the patient experience.

Dr Matthews earned her primary medical degree at the University of Melbourne after already acheiving her Bachelor's degree in Generitics. After earning her medical degree, Dr Matthews undertook her residency training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent Hospital and the Austin Hospital, as well as her postgraduate diploma in Surgical Anatomy. Upon completion of her diploma, Dr Matthews undertook her advanced Otolaryngolgy and Head & Neck Surgery training under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Dr Matthews has since been appointed Consultant at Barwon Health, where she works within a large surgical unit and remains a key point of contact in the academic community, regularly partaking in the training of Ear Nose & Throat Surgical trainees and General Practitioners.
