Dr Lindsay McGrath is a highly qualified Ophthalmologist and Specialist Ophthalmic Surgeon who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. She specialises in the surgical and medical management of both intraocular and extraocular tumours, as well as diseases affecting the eyelids, lacrimal system, and orbit. With a reassuring and professional approach, Dr McGrath is dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes, combining surgical expertise with genuine care to address a wide range of ophthalmic and oculoplastic conditions.

Her clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of eye health, including cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens utilisation, pterygium removal, and the management of thyroid eye disease. Dr McGrath is particularly skilled in treating eyelid malignancies, malpositions, and reconstructions, as well as managing watery eyes and trauma or injuries to the eye, lids, or orbit. She also has specialised expertise in advanced techniques such as enucleation and exenteration, and the management of melanomas of the choroid, iris, conjunctiva, and skin.

Dr McGrath began her academic journey by graduating with Honours in Optometry from the Queensland University of Technology in 2005. She subsequently pursued her medical degree at the University of Queensland, followed by a Master of Philosophy in Ophthalmology in 2013. She completed her specialist training in ophthalmology in Queensland, followed by advanced subspecialty fellowship training in orbital, lacrimal, and plastic surgery, as well as ocular oncology, oculoplastics, and orbital diseases in the United Kingdom. Dr McGrath is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. She also holds professional memberships with the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons, the British Oculoplastic Surgeons' Society, and the International Society of Ocular Oncologists.
