Dr Liam Turner is a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Surgeon who provides comprehensive eye care. He has a strong clinical focus on general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and oculoplastic surgery. Dr Turner is passionate about the intricate nature of ophthalmic procedures, appreciating the unique balance of medical and surgical expertise required to manage complex eye conditions. Dr Turner completed his tertiary education in Queensland and Canberra, earning a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, and a Master of Public Health. He undertook his Junior Doctor and Registrar training across several major public and paediatric hospitals in Queensland. To further refine his surgical skills, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he completed two prestigious post-registrar fellowships in oculoplastic surgery, first at a county hospital and subsequently at a world-renowned teaching hospital in London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

In his clinical practice, Dr Turner manages a wide range of general eye conditions alongside his sub-specialist interest in oculoplastic and reconstructive eyelid surgery. His areas of expertise include the treatment of lid malpositions such as ectropion, entropion, and ptosis, as well as facial nerve palsy and disorders of the nasolacrimal system. Additionally, he is highly experienced in the surgical management of periocular malignancies, including basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
