Dr Lawrence Kasherman

Dr Lawrence Kasherman is a highly dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients navigating cancer diagnoses. With a clinical focus on solid tumours, he specialises in the management of gynaecological, genitourinary, breast, and head and neck cancers. Dr Kasherman is deeply committed to delivering personalised treatment plans that prioritise patient well-being and optimal clinical outcomes, working closely within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.

Dr Kasherman obtained his medical degree from the University of Newcastle, Australia, in 2012. Committed to advancing his clinical knowledge, he completed a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Sydney in 2016. Following his specialist training, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020. He is also a Doctor of Philosophy Candidate at the University of Sydney, focusing his doctoral research on improving cancer survivorship outcomes. Dr Kasherman is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Australia and New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group, where he contributes to the Uterine Tumour Type Working Group and the Endometrial Cancer Research Initiative.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Kasherman is a passionate advocate for clinical research and regularly serves as an Investigator on numerous clinical trials. He has a particular interest in cancer survivorship and is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Having grown up speaking Indonesian, he brings a unique cultural perspective to his practice, ensuring that supportive, high-quality oncological care is accessible and tailored to the diverse needs of the community.
