Mr Lavier Gomes

Mr Lavier Gomes is a highly accomplished Consultant Radiologist based in Westmead, Australia. He specialises in diagnostic imaging, with a particular focus on neuroradiology and head and neck imaging. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Gomes serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology, contributing significantly to the academic and research landscape of medical imaging. He also holds key leadership positions, including Deputy Director of MRI and Director of Research in Imaging, where he helps guide the clinical and scientific direction of advanced imaging services.

Mr Gomes completed his medical education at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1987. He also holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Science with Honours. Following his primary medical studies, he undertook specialist training in clinical radiology, qualifying as a Radiologist in 1995 at a major teaching hospital in Westmead. To further refine his expertise, he completed a dedicated Fellowship in Neuroradiology from 1995 to 1996. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists, reflecting his high standards of professional practice and commitment to the field.
