Dr Katie Ilott

Dr Katie Ilott is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing high-quality primary care to her local community. Born and raised in Rockhampton, she began her healthcare journey working as a Registered Nurse in a local hospital's Paediatrics Department. This early experience in nursing instilled in her a profound appreciation for patient-centred care, which continues to guide her practice as a General Practitioner today. After completing her medical training, she returned to her home region to establish her career, where she has since built a reputation for her reassuring and thorough approach to patient health.

Dr Ilott completed her medical degree at Griffith University, graduating in 2011. Demonstrating a commitment to clinical excellence, she went on to achieve her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Ilott is highly active in medical education, serving as a respected Medical Educator for a regional General Practice training programme, where she mentors and trains the next generation of General Practitioners.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Ilott provides comprehensive care across all stages of life. Her areas of clinical interest include child health and immunisation, men's and women's health, antenatal care, and preventative medicine. She also possesses a strong passion for palliative care, contributing her skills to a local community hospice medical team.
