Dr Katherine Hanks

Dr Katherine Hanks is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals of all ages. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting her patients through every stage of their health journey. Dr Hanks is passionate about delivering inclusive healthcare and welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds, including members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and the LGBTQI+ community. She is also proud to offer neurodiversity-affirming care, ensuring a supportive and understanding environment for all.

In her clinical practice, Dr Hanks has developed a broad range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on children's health, women's health, and sexual health. Her expertise spans acute illness management, chronic disease prevention and management, antenatal care, and travel health. Additionally, she is highly skilled in reproductive health, offering specialised procedures such as the insertion and removal of both intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants.

Dr Hanks holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Committed to advancing her clinical knowledge, she completed a postgraduate Diploma of Child Health to further support her paediatric patients. She is also a recognised Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of general practice care.
