Dr Kate Andrewartha

Dr Kate Andrewartha is a highly dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to women at all stages of life. Based in North Adelaide, she is passionate about delivering continuity of care that aligns with each patient's evolving health needs. Whether supporting a low-risk pregnancy with minimal intervention or managing complex obstetric and gynaecological concerns, Dr Andrewartha prioritises a compassionate, reassuring, and tailored approach to ensure her patients feel safe and supported.

Dr Andrewartha completed her medical education at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2012. She commenced her Specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015, gaining extensive clinical experience across major tertiary hospitals. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.

With a broad range of expertise, Dr Andrewartha specialises in both low-risk and high-risk obstetrics, offering tailored care that respects individual birth preferences. Her clinical interests in gynaecology include the management of early pregnancy complications, such as miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, as well as infertility investigations. She is highly skilled in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy, and the minimally invasive management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. Additionally, she provides expert care for heavy menstrual bleeding, abnormal cervical screening tests, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
