Dr Kashif Khokhar

Dr Kashif Khokhar is a highly qualified Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist who provides comprehensive cardiac care with a reassuring and patient-centred approach. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders, hypertension, and cardiac devices. Dr Khokhar is dedicated to utilising advanced clinical techniques to help patients manage complex cardiovascular conditions, ensuring they receive personalised and effective treatment pathways to improve their quality of life.

Dr Khokhar obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and subsequently completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). He undertook his basic training as a Physician at a major hospital in the United Kingdom, followed by advanced training as a Cardiologist at a leading university hospital in Manchester. He then relocated to New Zealand, where he completed his advanced training and a clinical fellowship in pacing and electrophysiology at a prominent tertiary hospital. To further refine his expertise, he completed specialised training in complex pacing, including cardiac resynchronisation therapy and three-dimensional mapping, at a renowned heart rhythm research centre in South Australia. Dr Khokhar is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ). He is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom, the Heart Rhythm Society, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Khokhar is deeply committed to cardiovascular research and serves as a Co-investigator on multiple prospective clinical trials. His primary research interest lies in studying how central high blood pressure and arterial stiffness contribute to the development of atrial fibrillation. His academic contributions have been recognised with prestigious research funding from major international cardiac societies, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in leading medical journals. Dr Khokhar regularly presents his findings at national and international conferences, ensuring his clinical practice remains at the forefront of modern cardiac medicine.
