Dr Justin Whitley

Dr Justin Whitley is a highly accomplished Radiologist and Neurointerventionist who specialises in the minimally invasive, image-guided treatment of complex conditions affecting the brain, spine, head, and neck. Based in Randwick, he is dedicated to providing advanced, evidence-based care to patients requiring precise diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. With a reassuring and compassionate approach, Dr Whitley focuses on delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for individuals facing serious neurovascular challenges.

His clinical expertise spans a wide range of advanced neurointerventional procedures. Dr Whitley has a particular interest in the treatment of brain aneurysms, dural arteriovenous fistulas, and acute ischaemic strokes. He is highly skilled in performing complex procedures such as neuroangiography, craniocervical angioplasty and stenting, and clot retrieval for acute stroke. Additionally, his practice encompasses the management of conditions like brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), pulsatile tinnitus, chronic subdural haematoma, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and venous sinus stenosis. By utilising state-of-the-art medical imaging technologies, he ensures that each patient receives a highly targeted and minimally invasive treatment plan.

Dr Whitley obtained his medical degree from the University of Cape Town in 2004. He subsequently relocated to Queensland, where he completed his specialist Radiology training. To further refine his skills, he undertook prestigious fellowships in Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Radiology at major tertiary hospitals across Brisbane, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast. Dr Whitley is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). He also holds professional credentials from the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) and is recognised by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Interventional Neuroradiology (CCINR).
