Dr Justin Munt

Dr Justin Munt is a highly regarded Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the management of sporting injuries, arthritic conditions, and traumatic injuries affecting the hip and knee. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to optimising clinical outcomes by utilising the latest evidence-based medicine and advanced surgical technologies. Dr Munt provides comprehensive care for patients requiring joint replacement, arthroscopic procedures, and complex reconstructive surgeries.

Dr Munt completed his medical education at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2001. He subsequently undertook his basic surgical and advanced Orthopaedic training in Adelaide. Following this, he completed a specialised fellowship in Sydney, focusing on the management of hip and knee arthritis as well as soft tissue injuries of the knee. Dr Munt is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

In his clinical practice, Dr Munt has a particular interest in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, including partial knee replacement and bone-conserving hip replacement. He is accredited in robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery, utilising advanced systems to achieve precise implant positioning and improved patient recovery. His expertise also extends to the arthroscopic management of knee ligament injuries, such as anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, and the treatment of orthopaedic trauma, ranging from simple fractures to complex limb reconstructions.
